What happens if a child cannot grasp the structure of a language?

• These children do not understand how words combine, they cannot understand a simple sentence or a simple command.
• Instead of following commands, some of those children are repeating them mechanically!
• Instead of using words to communicate their needs, some of these children may mechanically repeat some familiar words over and over again.

Recent research shows that those challenges reflect differences in brain wirings, which can be detected even during pregnancy.
